BUDDHIST GUMBA READING UK PROGRESS REPORTS:-

Buddhist Gumba Reading UK has had purchased it’s Gumba house in Early on Monday, 3rd October 2022 with handing key to our Mule Guru Khenrinpoche Shirlama Guru handed by our BGRUK chairman Insp. Khem Bahadur Gurung and property coordinator Mr Chandraman Gurung in the presence of local organisation’s heads. Since then we are having constant meeting and consultation with professionals. To achieve final goal BGRUK has formed a manegerial team of two as property coordinator Mr Chandraman Gurung as Housing manager and VP Mr Nar Bahadur Gurung as his assistant manager.

On technical and official side Treasurer Maj. Buddhi Bahadur Gurung is taking full responsibility. To make work simple and easy, rest of the members are obliged to help our management team.

BGRUK management team started its ground clearance work from Saturday, 15 October 2022 with enthusiastic volunteers, which were very exciting.

All interested volunteers are welcome to accumulate virtues.

We are happy to announce that 95% of Gumba renovation work has been completed, and are eagerly waiting to recieve cargo from Nepal to install all Buddha statues, Mhane, Hall, room, door-decos , which are on the way. BGRUK team are committed to comlete before Buddha Jayanti, which is our historic-day. In Buddha Jayanti 5 May 2023 we are opening our new Gumba officially, but due to spaces and time, day 6 May 2023 we are holding grand opening in Avenue school in Tilehurst.

Day 21 Carpark Extension on 07 January 2024: –

Beginning of this year 2024, we decided to facilitate our front Carpark with added space to our visitor. To upgrade our Carpark, we asked for volunteers contribution and manage some progress in first day.

Day 22 and 23 on 8th and 9th January 2024: –

Even though, it’s the bitterly cold day, our aged but still young on heart and spirited volunteers come out for carpark project. Photos speak itself.

Day 24 0n Friday 12 January 2024: –

To speed up our project we had hired digger for two days and the work has been taking it’s shape.

Day 25 on Saturday, 13 January 2024: –

As we called for volunteer to expand our Gumba Carpark, there were significant volunteers turn out. After all day working in Gumba, we had excellent messing party in late evening, it was full of fun and exciting.

Day 26 on Sunday, 14 January 2024: –

As usual BGRUK volunteers friends came to give labour contribution in Carpark and side corridor to upgrade.

Day 27 Wednesday, 17 January 2024: –

To finish to upgrade front and sidewalk ways our dedicated volunteers are working until late evening. Nothing can stop them for working, it’s pure commitment from our die-hard volunteers, namely Mr Kismat Gurung and Mr Khem Raj Gurung.

Day 28 Saturday, 20 January 2024: –

It was very exciting day for us, as lots of volunteers came to do volunteer labour contributions in Gumba. Our Ama Samuha (Mother Group) cooked live Sail-Roti, verities of traditional foods to feed our respected volunteers on that day. unfortunately, we completely missed to take pictures of that day.

Day 29 Sunday, 21 January 2024: –

Although, it’s cold and windy day, our Buddhist Gumba Reading UK volunteers Group turn out as usual today to upgrade front and sidewalk ways. We really appreciate to all volunteers those who contributed for Gumba Shake.
