Buddhist Gumba Reading Uk celebrated 2570th Buddha Jayanti on his monastery on Friday. 01 May 2026.
Buddha Jayanti, also known as Buddha Purnima (triple celebration) is a sacred festival celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and death (Parinirvana) of Gautam Buddha on the full moon day of the Vaisakha month (April/May). Buddhist celebrated it by visiting monastery with prayers, meditation, and offering incense.
On the event, Tulku Lhatse Rinpoche, Khenpo Shyam Guru, Lama Gam guru and Dhorje Guru were present there.
The event was hugely successful with attendance by many local organization’s heads and representatives along with Buddhist Gumba Reading’s followers.
The event was divided in two parts. In the first part Khenpo Shyam Guru started early morning with Sang Puja and Tulku Lhatse Rinpoche began with Ganachakra and Ku Thui Puja.
After the interval for lunch, Tulku Lhatse Rinpoche continued teaching with empowerments and religious discourse (Dharma Deshana).
On the event BGRUK Mother’s Group has served to all devotees with fresh vegetarian foods and traditional sail-roti.
The event was ended with Mandal offering by BGRUK trustees and executive members to Tulku Lhatse Rinpoche followed by all devotees.
Programme was conducted by GS Kamal Gurung, whereas Mrs Mina Kumari Gurung facilitated on puja side.
Puja was ended with THANK YOU speech by VP Nar Bahadur Gurung.
Later, late evening as previous year, BGRUK mule Guru Khenrinpoch Shirlama Guru lit candle lights praying with peace to all sentient beings. Mother Group chanted Monlam Path along with Mule Guru.
